A Poem for Him
i stood before Your throne,
Music playing in my ear.
Your voice was speaking to me,
But i didn't seem to hear.
You said, "come stand before Me,
And worship who I am."
But i was undeserving,
And didn't give a damn.
You called out saying, "I love you,"
and You pulled me to Your side.
And as You did the tears came down,
and away crumbled my pride.
My feet gave out bellow me,
and i fell down to my knees.
You gave me all Your love
i had never even said please.
You wrapped me in a blanket
full of loving warmth and care.
You said, "You are forgiven,
My blood with you i share."
So i stand before your throne now
Unworthy and ashamed.
But by Your grace i have been covered,
By Your blood i am renamed.
